Biography
Thomas Melville was born in Scotland.
Thomas (or John) was born about 1425, the son and heir of John Melville, Lord of that Ilk. He succeeded to his father's lands and Melville Castle in 1442 and his daughter and sole heiress, Agnes, married Robert Ross of Halkhead.[1][2]
