Event: Indiv Note. Note: Lived with grandmother, Susan Morris Melvin. Placed in orphanage in Glendale Kentucky at age 1 when his grandmother Susan Melvin was no longer able to care for them. He was adopted by a family named Marksbury who owned an awning company around Harrodsburg or Louisville. He was in the Marines during WWII.
