Barbara (Melvin) Sherar was born in Scotland.
Barbara Hay Melvin was born in 1860 at Banff, Banffshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of John Melvin and Isabella Gossip.[1]
Barbara (Melvin) Sherar migrated from Scotland to Victoria.
In 1875, Barbara's father John came home from a long trip to Australia to arrange for his family to return with him to Melbourne, Victoria.[2]
They emigrated on the "Loch Maree" in 1875.[3]
She married Andrew Sherar in 1885 at Victoria.[4]
