François Ménard was born on 26 Feb 1716 and baptized the following day in Boucherville, Canada, Nouvelle-France. His parents were Louis Ménard and Marie Madeleine Brien. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Louis Brien and Marguerite Louise Myrre. The officiating priest was Bouffandeau and de la Saudrays wrote the record.[1]
Marriage
François Ménard married Marie Catherine Deliéres, daughter of the late Julien Delierres dit Bonvouloir and Marie Marthe Darragon, on 27 May 1742 in Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue parish of Longueuil. In the presence of known witnesses Vincent Aymart, Pierre Bourdon, Jean Baptiste Delierrre, Marie Josephe Delierre, André Lamarre, and Laurent Bria. The celebrant priest was J. Ysambart.[2] Marie Catherine passed away on 19 Apr 1774 in Longueuil.
2nd Marriage
François Mainard, widower of Marie Catherine Deliére, married Marie Anne Bourassa, widow of Gabriel Provost, on 26 Oct 1778 in Saint-Joseph parish of Chambly, Province of Québec. In the presence of Jean Baptiste Mainard, François Deliére Bonvouloir, Étienne Patenote, Albert Provost, and Madeleine Provost.[3]
Death and Burial
François Bellerose passed away on 20 May 1789 being given the age of around 70 years on the record. His burial was the 22nd in Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue parish cemetery of Longueuil.[4]
