Odile Menard is the daughter of Pierre Menard and Therése (Godin) Menard. When Illinois became a state in 1818, Odile's father was elected as the first Lieutenant Governor. The family home, where she was born 1802 colonial home is now a preserved State Historic Site. A photograph of it is available. See The Pierre Menard House, Wikipedia Commons.

In 1811 Odile married Hugh H. Maxwell. They had twelve children. There is a photograph of Odile on her Find A Grave Memorial, that may be seen here:

Odile is buried in the Menard Cemetery, in Randolph County, Illinois [1]
