Hi Meredith. My Willard family was from Quebec, their name was changed from Ouellette. My grandfather is John Willard, son of Levi Ouellette (Willard), he's the son of Gabriel. I don't know if they're the same family or not. Willards of the last few generations settled in the SD&G counties, Ontario, but the earliest known Ouellette came from France and settled at Kamouraska at Riviere Ouelle, Quebec, Canada.
