Biography

Aaron was a Friend (Quaker)
Descendant
Descendant of Thomas and Joan Mildenhall.

Aaron was born 24 Apr 1806 the sixth child of James Mendenhall and Rachell Thornburgh[1][2] and grew up in rural Guilford County, North Carlolina.[3]

Aaron married Hannah Clark 31 Aug 1827[4][5] in Guilford, North Carolina. It may be read in some places that Aaron married Hannah and was reprimanded for marrying out of unity. No Quaker record of the marriage has been found but nor has a meeting minute of reprimand. Hannah's father's birth and death are recorded in Quaker records and if Hannah was not a Quaker at the time of marriage, she became one. The young family made their home in Guilford County.[6][7]

He died intestate 26 Nov 1849 at rural Guilford, North Carolina. Hannah petitioned the court for executorship.[8]
