Parents, Birth

Elouise Josephine "Louisa" Mendoza, daughter of Joseph Pierre Mendoza and Marie Anne "Mary" Stevens, was born 1 Dec 1854 in Jeanerette, Louisiana.[1]

Marriage, Children

 Eloise first married John M. Tuell on 12 Sep 1870 at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin, Louisiana.[2] No children are known to have been born of this marriage.

 John died about two years later[3] and Eloise then married Karl Christian "Charles" Gutekunst on 10 Feb 1874 at the St. Martinville Courthouse in St. Martinville, Louisiana.[4] Their known children were:
