Daniel, the son of Johann Friedrich and Dorothea Mentzel (late Bütten, born Steinden), was born after 1753, the year of his parents' marriage [1].

Daniel married twice; both times in Czerniejewo, Prussia (now Poland): first, to Anna Catharina (widow of Gottfried Lierß; birth surname unknown) on 13 May 1788 [2]; and then to Anna Stöbenau, on 29 August 1790 [3] [4].

He died on 27 March 1807 in Nekla Hauland (now Nekielka), Posen (Poznan), Prussia, Germany (Poland/Polen) [5]

Note: The details of this record almost perfectly align with the church book record in the other citation recorded here, except for the apparent mistranscriptions/misspellings of all surnames in the record. Such misspellings are common in online databases, including FamilySearch. For example: Mantzel should be Mentzel; Nabenanen should be Stöbenau; and Nabenaus should be Stöbenau. The original church record images will be viewed as soon as possible at a FamilySearch centre to verify the details.
