Ernest enlisted in the US Army in 1945 and served during WWII. He was single at the time. His record indicated that he had only one year of high school, and worked as a meatcutter.[1]
Ernest married Rosa Lee Dunaway.
He passed away in 2001.[2] Burial was in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Tallahassee, Leon County, Florida.[3] His grave marker is inscribed: PFC US Army World War II. He shares a grave marker with his wife, Rosa.[4]
