Born 1846 Burstwick
Ann Mercer was born in 1846 in Burstwick, a large village perhaps six miles directly east of the 2020 Hull boundary and so five miles north of the Humber estuary..
Ann is the daughter of Thomas Mercer and Ann Blashill.

Almost ten years after their marriage Thomas and Ann Mercer have six children, born in four different villages, the last being Sproatley where they now live, and as it turns out settle down. [1]
