The Will of Robert Mercer of New Castle Co., Delaware, dated 25 July 1786:
“I Robert Marcer of New Castle County Readlion hundrd . . . give and bequeath after all my lawful depts is paid unto my bloved wife Sarrah marcer; and Simon marcer and Jeremiah marcer my two beloved sons al my esstat eaquelly to be devided betwen them . . . “
The will was signed by Robert Marcer. It was proved 22 January 1793.
Witnesses: Jeremiah Shaughnecy and John Bradley [6]
On 21 January 1793, in New Castle Co., Delaware, “Sarah Marcer Being the wife of the Deceased Robert Marcer” passed the administration of Robert’s estate to her son, Simon Marcer.[6]
According to Gary Roberts, Robert died before 19 February 1767 at St Stephens, Sassafrass Neck, Cecil County, Maryland..[6] His Will was dated 16 Jul 1769, probated 23 Aug 1769.[7]
