Hi Blain, I saw your note about my proposed merge Theophilos Phillips. To my mind these are clearly the same person; they are referencing the exact same birth record (not to mention the exact same parents, who would have been unlikely to give two long-living children the same name). Unless two people of the exact same name were born in Massachusetts (all of the colony had less than 20,000 people at this point), I don't think it's conceivable that these are not the same person. Additionally, you mentioned a discrepancy over the "Senior" suffix - since both of these men had sons of the same name (who could also be the same people), it's reasonable that "Senior" should apply in both cases. Let me know what you think - thanks.

Blain, Read the following:

Posted 26 May 2014 by AngelaLMaes

1. RICHARD HARDY (JOHN5, MICHAEL4 DE HARDY, JOHN3, JOHN2, RICHARD1) was born 1577 in Wetwang, East Riding, Yorkshire, England, and died 1645 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. He married Alice Wilson 1602 in Yorkshire, England, daughter of Robert Wilson and Unknown. She was born January 12, 1586/87 in Shellington, Bedfordshire, England. Died in Virginia.

This proves the Richard Hardy (1595-1684) we have her married to is not correct. Our Richard Hardy's first wife died in Concord, MA during birth of twins but her name was not listed.

Can Smead 99 now be merged in Smead-2? I see no differences, other than the birth date, which is speculative as far as I know.

Hello, my name is Blain Mercer. I've lived in Winter Park, Fl for the past 17 years. I hale from Springville, N.Y. I have a deep fascination with history and have been finding out how my ancestors both went through and even affected it. The concept of a "single worldwide family tree" is not new to me. It's something I've hoped for. You see, I know were all connected and each must contribute to make those connections. I can add well over 1,000 people in the way I'm in the tree. I would gladly help others in their search out their past as were all cousins and thats family! I commend you Chris Whitten and I share your mission and vision.
