Eliza Meredith was born in 1787, a daughter to General James Meredith and Elizabeth .. in Hampshire, England. She was baptised November 30, 1787 at St Mary's Portsea, Hampshire.
Eliza married Henry Frederick Bythesea about 1808. They had one son, Henry Edmund Frederick Bythesea in 1809.
Eliza's husband Henry died in 1850.

The will of Eliza Bythesea formerly of St. Andrew's-terrace but late of 4 St. George's-buildings Lower-Bristol-road both in the City of Bath Widow who died 4 February 1878 at 4 St. George's-buildings was proved at the Principal Registry by West Awdry and Frederick Awdry both of Chippenham in the County of Wilts Gentlemen the Executors.
