Biography
Sir Robert Meredyth, PC, Chancellor of the Irish Exchequer, in 1618 married Anne Ussher, daughter of Sir William Ussher, clerk to the Privy Council (Ireland).
He died in 1668 and was buried 19th Oct., in St Patrick's Cathedral. [1]
In his will he desires to be buried there by Torch light without expense ; " to my wife Anne, of whose piety and love I have had many yeares experience, I leave the house in the lane leading from Church Str, to Mary Abbey".
