William Meriwether was a Virginia colonist.

William was born in 1756. He was the son of William Meriwether and Martha Wood. On May 22, 1788, William Meriwether married Sally Oldham, daughter of Samuel Oldham, in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Bondsmen: William Meriwether and David Meriwether.[1] He passed away in 1814, and was buried at the family graveyard. He was re-interred April 1, 1889, at Cave Hill Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, in Section E.[2]
