George Mero is a part of US Black heritage.

George was born about 1835 in Vermont.

He was the son of Hezekiah Mero and Harriet Mero, and the brother of Civil War veterans Andrew H., Charles W. and Sylvester O. Hartland Mero of the all-black 54th Massachusetts regiment.
