Hi Duane,

I wrote to you recently as part of the England Project's six-monthly check-in with our project members. I haven't heard back from you. I hope you are well.

If you could please drop me a quick note to confirm whether you are still interested in the project and wish to remain an active member, that would be very helpful.

If we do not hear from you within the next 2 weeks, we will assume you are no longer active in the England Project and remove you from our list of project members. You would be most welcome to re-apply to join the project at a later time by signing-up on the project’s G2G welcome post.

Hi Duane,

I would like to thank you for all your contributions towards the goals of the England Project during the past six months. We've achieved a huge amount during this period and we couldn't have done it without you and our other project members.

As the England Project Leaders, we are completing our six monthly check-in with all project members.

Are you happy to stay in your current project team(s)? Which team(s) are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?

Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message. I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks!

Hi Duane,

It's that time of the year again: check-in time! As England Project Leaders, we like to check in with you every six months or so to see how things are progressing. Back in May, we didn't ask for a response due to the rapid emergence of Covid-19 because we understood that people's lives were changing rapidly. While we are still living in a Covid world, we do need to hear back from you this time around.

First of all, how are you doing? What are you currently working on? Are you happy with the team(s) you're in, or would you like to change things up?

Secondly, we're looking for some feedback on the Google Group and our Discord server. Do you use either or both of these? If you don't use either, why not? Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve participation and collaboration, either generally or for you personally?

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Amy, Joan & Lizzie.

Hi Duane,

Your England Leaders are completing the six monthly check in with all team members. Thank you for all your work on English Profiles and in particular your work in Cornwall and Devon Teams.

These are unprecedented and difficult times, and we understand as Project Leaders that your situation may have changed somewhat in the last few months. What we are all able to/ wish to contribute on Wikitree has changed. Please let me know if you are happy with your current role and team choice, or if you wish to do something additional or different. Thank you again on behalf of all the Project Leaders for everything you do.

Lizzie

Hi Duane,

The England Project Leaders check-in with the members every six months to see how people are getting on. How are you doing? I notice you've dropped out of the Orphan Trail. Is there a particular reason for this? I'd love to have your feedback.

One requirement for membership in the project is that you contribute to a team at least once every six months. Are you willing to rejoin the Trail or would you prefer to leave the project for now and focus on other things? If you do the latter you'd be most welcome to rejoin later on.

Please respond to me via e-mail.

Many thanks,

Susie, England Project Leader :-)

Hi Susie,

I just noticed your note of concern about my participation in Orphan trail. I have been working with Elizabeth Viney on Orphan Trail and am doing my second person now. I hope to qualify soon so I can start working on some of my own ancestors from England and the USA. All you do on the England Project is appreciated and I read the emails. Best regards, Duane Merritt

Please do not make changes to Henry Merritt. Thomas Merritt is the husband of Susanna Wolffenden, not Henry. Geni is not an approved source of information for WikiTree.

See Merritt-821, Thomas Merritt. His wife is Susanna Cranniwell Wolfenden. Henry is project protected, so major changes need to be discussed before they are made.

What is your source for information on Henry? Revised Merritt Records does not list a name of his wife and he does not have a son named Thomas. If you have another source, please let me know.

Hi Duane - My particular line of Merritts is still stuck in 1650 Virginia. For all we know that guy was born in VA, as Merritts go back there to at least 1620, maybe even earlier. There are some Merritts listed as shareholders of the Jamestown Company and really early records hinting of early arrivals. However we think we have a tie to London - which long and short leads to the church St. Dunstan And Stephney, back into the 1500s. Lots of Merritts on the rolls! Hope this helps - Mike Merritt

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree - if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top right, or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House. You might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

We also have Mentors to help too.

Welcome! Laura
