On 2 February 1732/33, his son Jonathan was granted the administration of his estate.[1]
His inventory was taken on 4 April 1733 in Scituate.[2]
In 1734, his estate settlement mentioned his widow Deborah, and his children, Jonathan Merritt (eldest son), Henry Merritt, James Merritt, Isaac Merritt, Leah Briggs, wife of Benjamin Briggs, Rachel Peakes, wife of Eleazer Peakes.[3]
