Biography

Harriett was born in 1875 to Owen Thomas Merry and Mary Elizabeth Dunn in Effingham County, Illinois. She married John Robert Crenshaw on June 1, 1893 and moved to Springfield, Illinois where they had 10 children including Arthur, Laura, Charles, John, Hazel, Harold, Harry, James, Lawrence & Franklin.

When Harriet Anna Merry was born on April 4, 1875, in Effingham, Illinois, her father, Owen, was 46, and her mother, Mary, was 36. She married John R Crenshaw on June 1, 1893, in Effingham, Illinois. They had seven children in 24 years. She died on December 1, 1943, in Springfield, Illinois, at the age of 68, and was buried there.
