[spouse?]
[children?]
William Merriman/Merryman's (son of John & Audrey) Will was probated 1696/97 in Lancaster Co., Virginia. It has been said in some genealogies that the name of William's wife is unknown, and that she was not mentioned in his Will. I have not seen the Will, but from Lancaster County Court record abstracts:
Lancaster County Court 10th of March 1696/97:
Commission of administration upon the Estate of WILLIAM MERRIMAN, late of this county, deceast, is granted unto MARY MERRIMAN, his Widdow and Relict she giving securitie according to Act and Mr. Joseph Harrison. Mr. William Paine, Mr. Thomas Barker and Mr. James Camell are ordered to apprize the Estate and to be sworn by the next Justice and an Inventory thereof to be exhibited at the next Court. Mr. Daniell Armes and Walter Armes securities.
Mary is again mentioned in court records as follows: Lancaster County Orders 9th of June 1697:
Commission of administratin being granted unto MARY MERRYMAN upon the Estate of WILLIAM MERRYMAN (deceast) and the Court having ordered that an Inventory of the Estate of WILLIAM MERRYMAN be taken apprized and returned to this Court, this day MARY MERRYMAN did accordingly exhibitt to this Court an Inventory and Apprizement of the Estate proved by her Oath in Court.
A few other items from Lancaster County records:
Lancaster County Court 10th of July 1689:

This is the first mention I have seen of William having a daughter Margaret. Wonder if Ann Dimsey and the Chowning family are some how related to the Merryman family, or maybe just friends/neighbors.[citation needed]
Georgi
William died in 1740 at Lancaster County, Virginia Colony.[citation needed]
