WOMAN DIES OF APOPLEXY

After an illness of little more than a day, Mrs. William S. Riley, age 65, died of apoplexy at her home at 517 West 4th Street, Sunday morning at 8:45 o'clock. Mrs. Riley was stricken Friday night and remained in an unconscious condition until her death.

She was born in this city August 26, 1866, the eldest daughter of Cornelius and Martha Mershon, now deceased, and spent her entire life here. On June 2, 1888, she was married to William Riley. There were two children born to them, both now deceased. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a charter member of the Women of the Moose at Mooseheart, Ill.

Surviving relatives are the husband, a niece, Mrs. Wilma Chastien and a nephew, Marshall Mershon.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the residence and will be in charge of the Rev. Charles Swartz of the First Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Rose Hill. Pallbearers will be Ellis J. Crum, James Souders, Howard Gartin, M. D. Adams, Ralph Campbell and Robert Wiles.
