By the Way, can we use our two autosomal DNA tests to improve our research information? Do you know much about that?

Hi Cheryl,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. It looks like you are already doing the things recommended by the After Adopting Orphans FAQ. We really appreciate you becoming the caretaker of profiles!

Hi Cheryl, I'll take a look at the Dey & Egbert merges you mentioned. I've been doing a few of these that I'm not related to just to help the community. I just got done with a proposed Runyan/Runyon merge that was a lot of fun, instead of a merge it was actually data from 3 different people of nearly the same name so it took a little detective work. Glad to know we are 10th+ cousins, we could probably fill a football stadium with 10th cousins :)

Greetings Cheryl and Welcome to the Quakers Project!

If you are wishing to add the project as a co-manager to a well-sourced profile you would use the project box as directions are here. If you are only wishing to give them recognition, then use the project sticker as noted here. Any project questions can be asked in the project group.

I'm glad that you are finding it fulfilling to input individual profiles. I did the same when I started ;)

Hi again

You've been a member for about a week so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz, Sherry!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential.

Based on your tags I suggest Mayflower Project, leader is Becky Syphers.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities, which can be found at the top of your page under<Find> and <Projects>.

Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.

Welcome Cheryl!

I am happy to welcome you as a full member to the WikiTree community! To help save you time, energy and frustration, please start with our New Member How-To pages.

Click the green Tag on your profile page, you'll see others following the same things you are researching. The more Tags you add that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options.

Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help!
