Hannah Messer was the first wife of John Cross, married 26 Oct 1732 in Methuen, Essex, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[2]
Some of the records under review suggest her family name is MERCER, or that MERCER and MESSER are interchangeable? MERCER spoken in colonial Maine or Massachusetts may have sounded a lot like MESSER.
