Francis got a contract for work in two different Post Offices, Timaru first, then Rakaia
Unfortunately he lost his Rakaia job for hiding and not delivering mail. His landlady reported finding unopened mail in his room intended for delivery to people in the area, after Francis moved away.
Francis moved onto new South Wales in Australia.
