Biography
William was born in 1796 & baptised William Metcalfe, 15 August 1796 Great Ayton, Yorkshire the son of John Metcalfe.[1]
The marriage of William Metcalf & Ann Doughtey was conducted on 28 August 1821, Newcastle upon Tyne, All Saints, Northumberland. [2]
With wife Mary & children in 1851 living in Westgate, Guisborough, Yorkshire. He worked as a currier & master grocer. [3]
A grocer in 1861 living in Westgate, Guisborough with daughter Mary. [4]
He died on 22 June 1864. [5] [6]
