Biography

George was born in 1804 and christened at All Saints, Gainsborough, on 30 November^[1]. He was the son of Morehouse Metcalfe and Mary Richardson. He passed away in 1861^[2][3][4].

In 1837 at St John, Wakefield, Yorkshire, George married Ellen, daughter of Thomas Massingberd and Elizabeth Hawksmore Waterhouse^[5].
