Notes

  1. On the 1790 Census (page 3, last column), there is a listing for two George Metts which would be indicative of George Metts (1721-1794) and George Metts (1753-1799).
  2. Group close by these entries are 3 Becton entries who I believe to be indicative of: John Becton (1712-1753) husband of Ann Curtiss Metts and their sons, Michael Becton (1749-1799) and George Becton(1740-1834).
  3. Also indicated on this page is a William Metts (1760-1819) who I believe is son of this George Metts (1721-1791), although not a son of Naomi Mew based on the death date given.

However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

Metts-207 and Metts-67 appear to represent the same person because: At the time I created Metts-207 profile, I failed to find this Metts-67 profile whose dates and places appear to be basically the same. I have also proposed a merge for Robert Redding Metts records Metts-11 and Metts-208 for the same record. I try to find any existing records; however, I apologize for missing yours.
