Biography

Marguerite Meunier was born around 1680. [1] She was the daughter of Jean Meunier and Marguerite Housseau.

She was married about 1695 to Francois Michel dit La Ruine, widower of Madeleine Germon, in Grand Pré, Acadie. [1] There were no children from his previous marriage.

Together they had 12 children:

  1. Marie-Madeleine Michel
  2. Marie-Josephte Michel
  3. Unknown Michel
  4. Unknown Michel
  5. Louis Michel
  6. Cecile Michel
  7. Paul Michel
  8. X MICHEL ca 1705-
  9. Isabelle Michel
  10. Unknown Michel
  11. Marguerite Michel
  12. Marie Michel

After no presence in the 1698 and 1700 censuses, the family is found in the 1701 Census living in Riviere de L'Acension Les Mines. [2] In the next census that they are found, 1707, they still have two boys and two girls which means Madeleine was likely born in 1707 or later.[3] By 1714 the family had added a son and two daughters.[4]

She died before 3 June 1726. [1] On that day she was listed as deceased in her son Paul's marriage record.
