Paul Meunier was born in 1676. He was the son of Jean Meunier and Marguerite Housseau. His godparents were Mathurin Chabot and Elisabeth Meunier, wife of Isaasc Paquet.[1]
He married Claire D'Abbadie (aka St Castin) about 1700. Their son Joseph married Marie Joseph Leblanc, daughter of Rene Leblanc and Elisabet Melancon 24 April 1734 and Paul Munier and Claire St Castin are named as his parents. [2]
His exact death date is unknown but it was before April 27, 1734, the date of his son's marriage, he was noted as deceased at that time, as was Claire. Further Joseph was specifically noted as from Pentagouet as was the St. Castin family and one of the witnesses at Josephe's wedding, Alexandre Leborgne dit Bellisle[3] [4]
He has the Acadian project box even though he was born in Quebec, as he married an Acadian in Acadie and had his only child here. He lived a rather long life in Acadie. Paul is the progenitor of the Meunier family of Grand Pré.
