Thank You for your comment! Actually it may be a big help. I know not all spellings remain consistent through time and the alternate spellings you gave me for Lehnert and Hansch can give me a place to start. On a (sort of) unrelated note, my other German line settled in Frederick, MD so if you come across anything having to do with "Houx" or "Haucks" please let me know! I'm descended from Mathias Houx who was a Revolutionary War vet and Susannah Morgenstern who came mid-1700s to Maryland. I have a lot on this line after they arrived here but not where they came from. They were German according to family history, Huguenots, but now apparently that has been suggested a "myth." Anyway, Thank you for the help and if I can ever do anything for you let me know.

Thanks for the response. For the Kramer line, Mathias Kramer(1692-1793) (Kramer-2127) was from Dudweiler, , Rheinland-Pfalz (according to info received in recent merge). Other German names in my family: Frankenberger, Heydrich/Heyderich, Mischler, Weber, Schneider, Blum, Frey, Hege/Hagi, Stroler, Strebel, Steinmann, Mueller, Salzmann, Widmer, Baehr, Schaub, Oberdorfer, Lange, Schmidt, Schlaeberin, Motz, Mang, Hon, Fricker, Kriegbaum, Beyer, Gutman, Weidel, Meyer, Brickel, Faust. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the offer of help. I haven't done much on my wife's side up until now. I have uploaded some Gedcoms today, so I'm waiting for them to clear. Cheers, Loz

Thanks for the information. Right now I'm working on George Neuhart and Wilhelmina Stimpert, my g-g-grandparents. Both were born in Bavaria and lived in Monroe county, Ohio. She d. 1906; he 1913. His parents may have been Lawrence Neuhart and Maria Elisabeth Ehrgott. There is pretty good evidence he fought in the 7th West Virginia Infantry regiment in the Civil War (as "George Neihart").
