Thanks for the offer of help. I haven't done much on my wife's side up until now. I have uploaded some Gedcoms today, so I'm waiting for them to clear.
Hello!! I am looking for Simerly/Zimmerle. That is my grandfather's side. There is also a Grindstaff from my grandmother's side as well. Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the information. Right now I'm working on George Neuhart and Wilhelmina Stimpert, my g-g-grandparents. Both were born in Bavaria and lived in Monroe county, Ohio. She d. 1906; he 1913. His parents may have been Lawrence Neuhart and Maria Elisabeth Ehrgott. There is pretty good evidence he fought in the 7th West Virginia Infantry regiment in the Civil War (as "George Neihart").
My German family names include Haas, Keffer, Newhart (Neuhart), Machmer, Wolfe, Shafer, Ehrgott, Henel, Jungen, Schmidt, stimpert, and others.
My husband's entire family are from Berk's County. Wagaman, Fenstermacher, Dry, Epting. Kistler, Moyer, Fegelyk Savage, Warmkessel. Anything ring a bell?
