OBITUARY: Funeral services for Imogene Snider, 89, of Giddings are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pin Oak with Father Uche Andeh officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Pin Oak, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.

Imogene Mary (Meuth) Snider was born on March 26, 1928 in Pin Oak, Texas to Peter George Meuth and Elonora Mary (Lehman) Meuth. She was united in marriage to Floyd F. Snider in Longview, Texas and they were blessed with five children. She was a member of the Our Lady of Grace Altar Society and a Lector at the church. She enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, crocheting, attending church and spending time with family and friends.

Imogene passed away the evening of Friday, December 29, 2017 at Seton Smithville Regional Hospital in Smithville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Elonora Meuth; husband, Floyd, and a brother, Leonard Meuth.

Imogene is survived by her five children, Bert Snider & Carolyn Tuttle of Serbin, Tonya Mayfield and her husband David of Hurst, Brenda Lyons and her husband Steve of Longview, Kathy Ballard of Longview, and Steve Snider and his wife Lana of Longview; six grandchildren, Craig Snider and fiancée Crystal of Round Rock, Buzz Ballard and his wife Barbara of Pinehurst, Emily Snider of Longview, Melanie Lyons and her husband David of Longview, Zachary Mayfield of Hurst, and Ian Mayfield of Hurst; one great grandchild, Aubrey Ballard of Pinehurst; sister, Mildred Darsey and her husband Johnny of Pin Oak, and one brother, Eugene Meuth of Pin Oak.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pin Oak or to the charity of one’s choice.
