Hi Virginia,

I'm on a bit of a pause, as I make lots of my Christmas and Birthday gifts. At 72, I have numerous family members and most are women who actually appreciate my skills in knitting, sewing and design. This year I started weaving and found a whole new category of gift ideas.

I may take a break from that now and then to work on genealogy. But I'm not devoting a huge amount of time to it, at the moment.

I hope to get my sister involved soon. She will probably need a bit more of a tutorial though. She's extremely good at documentation, and has file drawers filled with documents that I've been coaxing her to get scanned and organized on her computer. I'm the one with most of the family photos and that is currently my project.

I will keep you in mind and definitely ask for help when I need it, hopefully in the not to distant future.

Again, Thank You for your helpfulness,

Louise

Hi Laura,

I've been helped a bit by a cousin. But I'm still navigating the site. One quick question. I accidentally posted a picture that hadn't been trimmed first, and I can't find a way to delete it. I posted a second one and thought I'd been able to make it the primary one, but that evidently didn't work. How do I delete the first picture?

Thanks ahead of time, Louise Meyer-Castro

Hi Louise,

It is good to hear that you have had some help. You will be navigating WikiTree like a pro in no time, I am sure. The easiest way to answer your question is to give you the help page for Photos FAQ's. This page also has a few related links at the bottom. It will explain several things.

To make a photo the primary photo this can be done in two ways. One if you are uploading it to a profile you can click 'make primary photo'. If it is not on the profile but is on WikiTree, copy the image name. It can be found by clicking on the photo and scrolling down it will be on the lower left side and look something like nameofphoto-123.jpg. Copy that and go to the profile and in edit on the right you will see add primary photo, click image then add the image (nameofphoto-123.jpg) to the box for primary photo and save it.

If you have any questions about it just let me know.
