La Vera was born in 1923. She passed away in 2018.
Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for La Vera M. “Mutzie” Umerski, age 95, of St. Cloud who passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Country Manor in Sartell. Reverend Derek Wiechmann will officiate. Entombment will take place at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
La Vera was born on September 6, 1923 in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota to Alfred and Hulda (Raiche) Meyer. She married Melvin J. Umerski on March 31, 1943 in Monroe, North Carolina. La Vera worked as a Meat Processor at Gaida and Donavons and also as a Dietary Helper at St. Benedicts Center. She was a member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church and Rosary Sodality. La Vera enjoyed her flower garden and spending time with her family.
La Vera is survived by her sons, Thomas of Hendersonville, NC, Donald (Susan) of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Thomas, Scott, Jill Matson, Kristi Kranz; six great- grandchildren; sisters, Helen, Paulette, Dorothy, Marlene; brothers, Richard, Robert, William; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin in 1998; three sisters, and five brothers.
A Special Thank You to the Staff of Country Manor for all the care given to La Vera during her stay.
