Abbie Meyer, daughter of Meno Meyer and Anna Chason both natives of the Netherlands, was born in October 1883 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

In 1900 Abbie Meyer is recorded as being seventeen years of age and living in the Household of her father in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo county, Michigan. ^[1]

On 16 July 1901 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan, Abigail was wed to Cornelius Rondhuis (anglicised to Roundhouse in the USA), born about 1881 in the Netherlands; she was 17, he was 20 years of age at the time. ^{[2] [3] [4]} To this marriage were born the following children:

1. Herbert Roundhouse, born abt 1904 in Mich.;
2. Meno Roundhouse, born abt 1906 in Mich.;
3. Clara Roundhouse, born abt 1909 in Michigan, wed to Adriaan Arthur van Dam;
4. Jacob C. Roundhouse, 1911–1992;
