Grace was born in 1876. She is the daughter of Jared Michael and Susan Wood.
Graduated 1901 from Oregon Agricultural College (now Oregon State University)
Letter from Alice McCall (later Simmons) to Mary Estella Kirk (later Robe) of 2 Mar 1896 mentions that Grace's Michael cousins Mel Wood and his father Field Wood were visiting. (original letter in possession of Margaret Summitt)
