Lambertus Michaël, born in Casteren, Noord-Brabant, Nederland and baptized 7 December 1800[1] in the church in Vessem, Noord-Brabant, Nederland, son of Lambertus Michaël and Petronella Fabri. He passed away 4 April 1876[2] in St. Louis.

Lambertus Michael emigrated in 1847 with his wife and their 5 daughters from the Netherlands to the United States. They travelled with the ship Pieter Floris and arrived 11/12 June 1847 in Baltimore, Maryland[4].
Before they emigrated a daughter was a daughter Janna, born in 1846, who died young. In the United States they had a son Lambert, born in 1848 and died in 1856.

His wife, Johanna Verbeek, wrote a short biography. She told about her children and about their journey from the Netherlands to Missouri. It was translated and published[5] by the Netherlands Society of Saint Louis.
