Biography

According to the Amentrout Family History, Adam Michael married Magdalena Armentrout in 1806. [1] They married in Rockingham County, Virginia, remained there. [2] Michael is enumerated on the 1810 census as heading a household comprised of four persons, a male who was at least 26 years of age but under 45 years of age (born between 1766 and 1784), a female who was at least 16 years of age but under 26 years of age (born between 1785 and 1794) , a male child under 10 years of age, and a female child under 10 years of age. [3] On the 1820 census, Adam Michael heads a household comprised of eight persons, a male who is at least 26 years of age but under 45 (born between 1776 and 1794) a female who is at least 26 years of age but under 45 (born between 1776 and 1794), a male who is at least 10 years of age but under 16, a female who is at least 10 years of age but under 16, and four girls under the age of 10. [4] In 1830, Adam Michael headed a household that was comprised of ten persons: a male who was at least 40 years of age but under 50 (born between 1780 and 1789), a female who was at least 30 years of age but under 40 (born between 1790 and 1799), a female who's at least 20 years of age but under 30 (born between 1800 and 1809), two females of at least 10 years of age but under 15, two females of at least 5 years of age but under 10, and two females under five years of age. [5] Adam Michael is said to have passed away in 1836. [6]

Michel-983 and Michael-477 appear to represent the same person because: Same person. Duplicate appears to stem from a slight variation in spelling in a couple of records. Michael appears the more consistent spelling of the family name. Difference in birth years does not seem to be supported by current cites on Michel-983.
