I was adopted at 6 weeks old by Donald & Janet Michaelis who lived in Huntington Beach, CA. Donald grew up in Fresno, CA. Janet (Sparks) grew up in Orange Cove, Dinuba, Visalia and Los Angeles CA. My biological mother Karen Rosenthal was raised in El Cajon, San Diego, CA. She had me 2 months after her 15th birthday. Karen kept her pregnancy a secret from her family and they found out when she was 8 months along. Once the pregnancy was discovered she was sent to live with her Grandma McCoy in Anaheim, CA. Once she had me I was placed into foster care for adoption. I met Karen and several family members in 1996 before she passed in 2004. I was informed that my biological father's name is Frank Trujillo and that he went to school at Granite Hills High School with Karen and her older brother and that he played drums. I was told that he did not know about me. As of 5/17/2019 I have been introduced to Frank's family over the telephone through a DNA connection with one of his cousins. He passed away November 2010 of Prostate Cancer. I was informed that Frank knew he had a child with Karen.

I have been fascinated with all of my recent discoveries as I take off on various branches of my family through WikiTree. I have been able to trace all the way back to Adam through two separate family branches. I have over 30 kingdoms and many generations of Kings, Queens and other Nobles from all over Europe in my branches. Through WikiTrees Connection Finder I have found that I have 14 Great Grandfathers that were Magna Carta Sureties. I am related to 9 passengers of the Mayflower. I am a distant cousin to 32 of the presidents. I look forward to new discoveries though different WikiTree projects.
I have also created the branches for my adoptive family starting with my Dad, Donald Michaelis and that is Michaelis-249 (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Michaelis-249) and my Mom, Janet (Sparks) Michaelis and that is Sparks-5039 (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sparks-5039).
