You expressed an interest in joining the Wales Project some time ago. Apologies that no one got in contact with you sooner. I’m the new Project Coordinator for Membership in Wales and I’d be happy to help you into the project if you are still interested.
If you would still like to join, please have a look at the project page https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Wales and let me know which team(s) you would like to join. Please also privately message me your e-mail address and then I can get you into the Google Group and invite you to Discord.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Olivia McCabe, Project Coordinator for Membership, Wales
By the sound of things, you would be best suited to the Diaspora Team which is focussing on Welsh family lines that emigrated to other parts of the world. I'll be happy to add you to this team but first I need you to private message me your email address so I can get you into the project Google group and send you an invitation to Discord. I look forward to hearing from you.
Olivia :-)
I sent you a private message a week ago regarding your interest in the Wales Project and have not yet heard back from you. Did you receive it? Please can you PM / e-mail me your e-mail address and team(s) selection so I can get you into the project? If I don’t hear from you by this time next week I’ll assume you no longer wish to join the project right now but you would, of course, be welcome to join at a later date.
Best wishes,
Olivia :-)

Seems like you have jumped into a project already! Here are a few tips to keep in mind.
Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in the Project FAQ.
Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and help others find it too. Find out more about sources here and more detailed info here.
If you have any questions, click reply below this message and I will get back to you.

One Month Member! How are things going? A couple of tips for you as you add to your tree. If you find a duplicate profile, and complete a merge, all the information from one merge is copied into the new combined profile. Please go in and edit the Biography section and put information under the correct headers and removed "duplicate" information.
Also, don't create "unknown" profiles. If you don't have a last or first name, note the related information in the related profile's biography section until additional information is found.
If you don't have a date or place of birth, at least try and estimate that information and note that it is an estimate in the Bio section.
And lastly, source as you go, because if you're like me, you won't remember where you found the info. Nae
As you go farther back in your tree, it is a good idea to do a search first to see if you have a match already created on Wiki Tree before creating a new profile. And keep in mind, if you do find a match, odds are the manager is also related to that person and probably you!
There is a great question to review on G2G regarding duplicate profiles and merges. See: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/51703/behind-merges-identifying-lowest-numbered-profile-correct A great place to ask specific question is on G2G. Under My Wiki Tree (on of the links at top right) select G2G PROFILE. You can browse/ask/answer questions. You can also "tag" them by topic. I am a mentor, so let me know if you have any questions!
