Sheet 12A of the census shows Frank L Rabe (23), wife Hael (23) and daughter Janice (5 mos.) are living in the home at 601 West 9th Street. The couple reports they were both 21 when they married. All report they were born in Kentucky. Frank is a stenographer for a commission company. The home is rented for $17.

Sheet 5A of the census shows Frank Rabe (34), his wife Hazel (33) and their children Janice (10), Leah (8), Joyce (7), Hazel (5), Grace (3) and Rosalie (10 mos) living in the home at 836 Perry Street. Also living with them is his sister, Irene (43) and single. All report they were born in Kentucky and were living in the same house in 1935. Frank reports completing 4 years of high school and his wife completed the 8th grade. Irene has a 5th grade education. The home is owned and valued at $2,300. Frank is a mail carrier for the government and earned $780 in 1939 working 30 weeks of the year. Irene is a seamstress and earned $200 working 20 weeks of the year.

Hazel E Rabe, born 30 Nov 1906 in Covington, died 16 Nov 1956 at the age of 49. She was divorced at the time of her death. She died at St Elizabeth Hospital the result of a tumor of the brain stem. She was a resident of 426 W 9th Street. Her parents are listed as Bernard Michels and Clara Kueven. The informant was Miss Leah Rabe. She was buried at St John Cemetery on 20 Nov 1956.
