Erich Michelsson was a soldier stationed at Fort Trinity in 1655, having arrived in New Sweden the prior year on the Örnen (Eagle). He made purchases from the company store between 27 June 1654 and 21 July 1655.
In 1663, Eric Michelsson, Hendrick Jacobsson, Marten Pfilsson and Anders Jonsson Ekorn were granted Dutch patents for their lands at Calcon Hook. Eric died soon after, and was probably the father of Peter Erickson and his brother Olle Derickson. [1]
In the Swedish Colonial Society's official list of forefathers this name is given as Eric Michaelsson. In the cited work by Peter Craig, the name is Eric Michelsson.
