note: the index info says gender=male, this, because this was a twin probably is a mistake, the indexer, because she had a twin brother Huybrecht, probably assumed Leuntje also was a boy. But normally Dutch names in baptisms ending with tje are feminine names, tje is only used for a boy if he is little, so if a boy for example was born/baptized named Jan, during his childhood people could call him Jantje, the tje part here is only referring to the fact he is a small child/little

Wooohoo great job Carrie !

Oh also, see the 1721 Oct 11 baptism where Leuntje has Lynsze as her patronymic. You surely have the right parents, Bea. :D

It looks like she was too young to have been a child of Michiel Jansz Vreeland. He didn't even name a son Michiel that could have been the right age to be her father? It might be assumed that she was a Vreeland because she was from the same place (or similar place name) and has a similar patronymic?

" Leuntie was born in Zeeland on the island of Schriskerhen, the exact date is not known bat probably around 1680. Her parentage is unknown, but in "The Kakiat Patent in Bergen Co., N.J.," by Howard I. Duria, p. 200, it states "Leantje Michaelse (Vreeland)." If this source is correct, she might be a daughter of Michael Jansen, although William Nelson does not mention her as a daughter in his account of the Vreeland family in his "History of the City of Paterson & Passiac County, N.J."" https://familysearch.org/photos/artifacts/4076030

Here's one Leuntje Cool joining church (belijdenis = confession, don't know it this is a proper translation for it ?) , but if her baptism date is correct, it would be too early , it's from January 1672, but found a second one where she is mentioned as daughter of Machiel Gillissen , so perhaps she was born and Baptized before the date added here ?
Datering: 6-3-1660 Voornaam: Leuntie Achternaam: Machielsen

Rol: Lidmaat Plaats: Koudekerke Kerkgenootschap: Nederduitsch gereformeerde kerk Bijzonderheden: Belijdenis Datum: 6-3-1660 Relatie: Daughter / Dochter of Machiel Gillissen <ref>Bron: Zeeuwen gezocht Leuntje Machielsen 6 March 1660 DTBL Koudekerke 4A (Lidmatenregister 1632-1732)</ref>

Added what looks like her possible baptism to the Bio now

Thanks Cynthia, I will look if I can find something for them in the Dutch archives and here's Zeeuwen gezocht, so you can try and search here for them as well if you like ;) (it's the direct link to the Zeeland archive)

Greets from the Netherlands and keep up the great work !

Bea

ps: The earlier versions of the last name Kool in the Netherlands often were written as Cool. And we also have to be careful, because many archives when they were indexing and digitizing the records, added the patronymics of the fathers as last name to the children in some of the indexes (Utrecht did for example), this is a mistake, the first names of the fathers are the patronymics of the children, if there was no last name. We wrote the archives about this mistake, but they can't repair it, because it's of course too much work to correct thousands of names in the indexes.. so we have to think about and correct this ourselves.

I redid the link, still goes to Nicole Lemaire ... Maybe they come from the same family. I will look at where it goes to and see if she is on there somehow?
I think the picture I added may help on more profiles than this one.
I think the link you added is wrong ? Leads to online genealogy for Nicole Lemaire ?
