Biography

Abraham was born about 1782 in New Jersey. He was the son of John Ner Middleswarth and Martha Reed. Although it was likely he was born under the name Middleswarth, he was listed under the name Middlesworth on most records in later years.

He married Barbara Leathers on 20 Jan 1811 in Fairfield county, Ohio.[1] They had a large family.

In 1820, they were in Clear Creek, Fairfield, Ohio.[2] They were in Amanda, Fairfield, Ohio in 1830.[3]

He received a land grant of 320 acres in Illinois. [4]

The family moved to Shelby County, Illinois. Abraham was listed on the 1840 census in that county.[5]

He passed away on 08 Apr 1847 in Shelby county and was buried in Middlesworth cemetery in Tower Hill, Shelby county, Illinois.[6]
