In 1840 her father moved his family from Rockingham County, Virginia near Harrisonburg to Washington County, in Eastern Tennessee near Washington College to be nearer to his wife's family.[1]
Henrietta married George W. Desler on June 27, 1858, in Washington, Tennessee.[3] and they had four children.[1]

Death
Henrietta died on May 20, 1913, in Telford, Tennessee, at the age of 80, and was buried in Urbana Cemetery, Limestone, Tennessee. [4]
