DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

If John Middleton is the son of William Middleton, Sr. and Elizabeth Landman Middleton, why is he NOT recorded in their family Bible? It is a meticulously kept record in the beautiful handwriting of an educated individual.

The Bible was published in 1772.

The first entry is: "William Middleton and Elizabeth Landman was married, by the Reverend Isaac Wm. Gibern, on Thursday the 19th December 1771."

The next entry is: "Thomas Middleton, son of the above mentioned William & Elizabeth Middleton was born Friday the llth September 1772."

The next entry is:"William Middleton son of William & Elizabeth Middleton was born Feby 6th 1774 on a Sunday night."

I question placing a John Middleton born 1772 in that family, especially in consideration of the dates associated with the first three entries.

Is there documentation that supports his lineage?
