A History of the Miles Family, by Irvin Green Miles, page 9 says this about Ann Miles, born 12 November 1674 at Llanfihangel, Helygen, Radnorshire, Wales. Married to William Davies (or Davis) of Radnor Twp. who came to America about the year 1685 and purchased a lot on Walnut Street, Philadelphia, from John Jones. In the same year he bought a plantation in Radnor. He was originally a member of the Society of Friends, but later became a member of the Church of England. The first English services in the vicinity were held in his house. Afterwards in a log cabin built upon his plantation which burned down early in 1700 and replaced by the present St. David's Church at Radnor. He was a member of PA Assembly 1712 to 1714. Later he moved to Caernavan Township (now Lancaster County) and the records of the Bangor Church show numerous descendants. Ann (Miles) Davies died 1734 and William died in 1739.
