The 1841 Census of Enland and Wales lists Sarah, aged 7, living with her parents, James and Ann, and her siblings Martha, Thomas, and Ann, and her half brother Solomon Stevens at Bishops Canning. [1]
In 1861 Sarah and Alfred are living with his father in Lacock. Sarah is working as a dress maker. Also in the household is her sister-in-law Harriet. [2]
Sarah and Joseph were married on the 3rd December 1904.[3]
Sarah died on the 12 November at her home, 147 King Street, Rangiora[4] and the funeral was held on the 14th. [5] She was buried at St John's Anglican Church Cemetery in Left Area, Row 10, Plot 21. [6]
