Biography
Edith Osborn Miles
Born about 1872
Emigration Emigrated from England on the Star of India 1873 voyage to Christchurch, New Zealand. The ship departed on 26 September 1873. Edith was aged aged 17 months old with father Samuel aged 22 and mother Mary aged 24. Passenger list notes father is from Devonshire and is a Labourer. They paid 12 pounds 10 shillings towards voyage. Total cost was 36 pounds 5 shillings. They arrived on 31 December 1873 at Lyttleton, Canterbury, New Zealand. [1]
Married Frederick Byman Cummins in 1910.[2][3]
Death Edith Osborn Cummins died in 1963 aged 91 years.[6]
