Amy was born on the 5th March 1857 in Friern Barnet, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom, the daughter of John Miles and Sophia Margaret ( Hodgson) Miles, and she was christened on the 25th April 1857 at Friern Barnet, London, England, United Kingdom.^[1][2]

1861 Census on the 7th April 1861 Amy was living at the Manor House, Friern Barnet, Middlesex with her parents John and Sophia, and her siblings Sophia, Charles, Henry and Eliza.^[3]

1871 Census on the 2nd April 1871 Amy was living at the Manor House, Friern Barnet, Middlesex with her parents John and Sophia, and her siblings Charles, Henry and Eliza.^[4]

1891 Census on the 5th April 1891 Amy was living at Avondale, Alleyn Park, Camberwell, London with her mother Sophia at the home of Sophia's sister-in-law Rachel Vernor (Miles) Collins. Rachel's children Robert, James and Katherine were also living there.^[5]

1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 Amy was living at the Manor House, Friern Barnet, Middlesex with her widowed mother Sophia, and her sister Eliza shown as Janet.^[6]

1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Amy was living at 14 Cedar House, Cheriston Gardens, Marloes Road, Kensington, Middlesex with her sister Eliza.^[7]

Amy, of Gorseside, Berkhampstead, Hertfordshire, died aged 70 on the 30th January 1928 in Berkhampstead, Hertfordshire.^[8]

Probate of Amy's estate, £19851 3s. 8d., was processed in London on the 15th March 1928 and passed to Edward Vernon Miles a solicitor, and to her brother the Rev. Henry Stewart Miles a clerk.^[9]
